Ferran Albrich
Born in 1990, he began his training as a cellist and graduated with honors from the Hochschule für Musik Detmold. In 2013 he started vocal studies and graduated summa cum laude at the Conservatori del Liceu under Dolors Aldea, receiving masterclasses from figures such as Goerne, Hampson, and Rieger. Awarded in competitions such as Juventudes Musicales de España (2019) and finalist at the Cavalli-Monteverdi Competition (2023), his career gained special momentum after the Primer Palau Competition and the “Lied the future” program of the Schubertíada.
Since 2019 he has collaborated with multiple orchestras as well as renowned period ensembles, performing in venues in Spain, Austria, and Italy. His repertoire ranges from Bach, Handel, and Monteverdi to Mozart, Brahms, and contemporary composers, also excelling in lied and mélodie, with premieres of works by Catalan composers.
In early 2025 he completed recordings of Monteverdi’s works in Italy, Morales with a selection of Masses, and Baguer with Vespres d’Arnadí. The 2025–26 season includes operatic debuts such as Count Almaviva (Le nozze di Figaro) and Haydn’s The Creation.
