Ferran Albrich
He starts his singing studies in Germany in 2013 and afterwards he graduates suma cum laude in Barcelona at the Liceu Conservatoire with professor Dolors Aldea. He has received masterclasses from Dalton Baldwin, Matthias Goerne, Thomas Hampson, Wolfgang Rieger or Furio Zanasi.
Albrich has been awarded prizes in several singing competitions and has participated in the Primer Palau Contest (2019) and specially in the program Lied the future at the Schubertíada in Vilabertran. His repertoire spans a wide range of styles, including oratorios by Bach & Händel, the Requiem and the Great Mass is C minor by Mozart, Beethoven’s Ninth Symphony and the Requiem by Brahms and Fauré. In the field of the symphonic lied, he has sung Lieder eines fahrenden Gesellen and Knabenwunderhorn, by Mahler, or Don Quichotte à Dulcinée, by Ravel. In the realm of opera, he has excelled as Testo in Il combattimento di Tancredi e Clorinda, by Monteverdi, or Lucifero in Il Primo Omicidio, by Scarlatti. Finally, in the genre of art song, he has performed outstanding works from the German lieder repertoire and French melodie, premiering also works by Catalan composers such as Brotons, Guinovart or Domènech.
